Job Description
Chernoff Newman seeks a UX/UI Intern with a passion for user-centered design and a desire to learn and grow in a fast-paced agency environment. The UX/UI Intern will collaborate closely with the web & digital experience team and other agency teams to support the design and development of user-friendly and visually appealing websites.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in conducting user research to understand user needs and behaviors. This could involve tasks like user interviews, surveys, and usability testing.
- Develop user personas, user journeys, and other UX documentation to inform design decisions.
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and mockups for websites and landing pages.
- Design user interfaces that are visually appealing, consistent, and accessible.
- Collaborate with developers to ensure that designs are implemented effectively.
- Stay up to date on the latest UX/UI trends and best practices.
Requirements:
- Current enrollment in a relevant undergraduate or graduate program in UX/UI design, human-computer interaction, or a related field.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating your UX/UI skills and experience.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar.
- Understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- A positive attitude, energetic personality, and a willingness to learn.
Compensation and Hours:
Applicants are expected to work 15-20 hours each week and are compensated $12/hour.
