POSITION DESCRIPTION

POSITION TITLE:                          Accounts Payable/Accounting Assistant

FACILITY/DEPARTMENT:         General & Administrative

REPORTS TO (TITLE):                 CFO/Accounting Manager

SUPERVISES:                                  N/A

BASIC FUNCTION:  Responsible for compiling and maintaining accounting records, while processing invoices. This role has a high priority on the ability to pay attention to detail, organizational skills, and multi‐tasking, while supporting several properties.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Detail-oriented and Calm Personality
  • Proficient in Excel and Excellent understanding of Computers
  • Exceptional organizational & multi-tasking skills
  • QuickBooks experience or willing to learn

 

EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE TRAINING:

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting/business or working towards a
  • Prior experience in an A/P role
  • A functional understanding of accounting (accounting terms, formulas,)
  • Proficient in Accounting systems, especially Accounts Payable
  • Computer literate of Quickbooks, Microsoft Office and other related

 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Verify and enter all accounts payable invoices for the properties timely and
  • Ensures vendor data is accurate and
  • Answers all vendor and property management
  • Prepares journal entries for corrections and approval
  • Prepares accounts payable checks and prepares for
  • Prints pertinent accounts payable reports and maintains all accounts payable
  • Reconcile monthly balance sheet
  • Assists in monthly closings of all financial
  • Meets weekly and monthly
  • Assists in the preparation of Facility Monthly Accounting
  • Prepare necessary daily, weekly, and financial reports providing analysis for any requested line items.
