Infrasense is currently looking to hire a Junior Staff Engineer for an internship during the upcoming summer. Responsibilities and duties include, but not limited to:

·      Performing routine engineering tasks; requiring knowledge and application of basic engineering principles under close supervision

·      Assisting with routine data collection, synthesis, and analysis using approved procedures

·      Documenting project-related activities

·      Preparing high quality deliverables including but are not limited to site drawings, condition maps, and reports

·      Willing to travel (25%-50%), typically 1-2 weeks per month between June and August

·      Performing all work in accordance with company and client Health & Safety protocols

·      Performing all work with a positive can-do attitude

·      Must be able to lift 50 pounds, walk for extended periods, work in all weather conditions, willing to work evenings/weekends when required, willing to travel for overnight and extended stay projects as required


 

Minimum Qualifications:

·      Junior pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related engineering discipline

·      Active driver’s license

·      Strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple deadlines

·      Experience with Excel and Word required

·      Passion for learning and a strong work ethic

 

Preferred Qualifications:

·      Experience with nondestructive testing/evaluation methods (e.g., ground penetrating radar, infrared thermography, falling weight deflectometer, seismic, acoustic, sonic/ultrasonic, etc.)

·      Experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation

·      Experience with ArcGIS
