The Mint Hill Chamber of Commerce is dedicated to promoting local business growth, enhancing community engagement, and driving economic development within the Mint Hill region. As a non-profit organization, we focus on fostering strong partnerships between businesses, schools, and community members to cultivate a vibrant local economy and
enhance the quality of life for our residents. Through events, educational programs, and strategic initiatives, the Chamber supports local
businesses by providing resources, networking opportunities, and advocacy efforts that help our members thrive. The Chamber’s mission aligns with building a strong and sustainable community where business leaders, community members, and future generations can prosper
together.

Goals and Objectives
As part of our team, UNC Charlotte GIG Program students will gain hands-on experience and valuable skills by supporting critical projects essential to the Chamber’s operations. Specifically, we are looking for assistance in:

1. Data Analysis
○ Assisting with data gathering, processing, and reporting to understand
membership trends and optimize Chamber programs. The intern will work
closely with our Membership and Marketing Coordinator to analyze data that
will drive decisions and improve member satisfaction.

2. Website Design and Management
○ Enhancing the Chamber’s website to provide a user-friendly and informative
experience for our members and the community. This project will help the
intern gain practical skills in web design, content management, and user
experience, supporting the Chamber’s mission of accessible, transparent
communication.

3. QuickBooks Reclassifications and Data Management
○ Supporting our accounting operations through data entry, QuickBooks
reclassification, and other financial management tasks. This will provide the
student with experience in financial software and nonprofit accounting,
ensuring that our financial records align accurately with our budget and
program goals.
