STW: Associate Network Technician

The Associate Network Technician acts as the frontline for all OneIT Network Infrastructure Service Requests. The individual is expected to make contact with clients and foster all requests through to completion. For requests that are beyond the individual’s skillset or authority level, escalation and proper hand off to an FTE is required. Requests handled by this position include data cable patching, network connectivity troubleshooting and device DNS/DHCP registration. Other duties of the position include equipment configuration and installation, updating network documentation, organizing cable stock, data closets, and surplus equipment, and completing requests made by the fulltime staff. <student> will work <hours up to 20> hours weekly while classes are in session.  During non-class periods <he/she> will work up to 40 hours weekly.
