GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The FP&A Associate supports the company’s financial health by providing clear analysis, forecasts, and insights that connect operational performance to financial outcomes. This role helps drive budgeting, forecasting, KPI reporting, and financial modeling that supports strategic initiatives, customer profitability, and company growth.

Treasury / Cash Flow
· Support daily, weekly, and monthly cash flow forecasting, including variance analysis.
· Assist with annual budgeting and recurring forecast cycles.
Operational Models & Profitability Analysis
· Build and maintain operational models tied to key business drivers (repos, recoveries, revenue per repo, queue reductions, billing productivity, customer profitability).
· Analyze customer-level profitability and performance trends to highlight high-value clients and identify low-margin areas.
Reporting
· Prepare and deliver monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc reporting packages, including KPI dashboards, variance analysis, productivity trends, and financial narratives for leadership.
· Translate financial and operational data into insights that support decision-making.
Cross-Functional Business Partnering
· Partner with Operations to understand performance trends and quantify the financial impact of operational initiatives.
· Work directly with Accounting to align actuals with forecasts, validate assumptions, and maintain consistent financial reporting.
Process Improvement
· Help automate recurring reports and streamline data collection processes using Excel, Tableau, Power BI, or other tools.
Ad Hoc
· Perform ad hoc analysis and financial modeling as requested by leadership, including scenario analysis, cost optimization assessments, and customer-level reporting.
DECISION-MAKING RESPONSIBILITIES:
· This role requires strong analytical judgment to validate assumptions, identify performance drivers, and highlight financial risks or opportunities. The FP&A Associate will ensure that budgets, forecasts, and operational insights are communicated clearly and support data-driven decisions.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
· Minimum Required Education: 4-year degree in Finance or Accounting
· Minimum Preferred Experience: 1 year of experience in finance role (including internships)
· Intermediate Excel Skills (SUM, Pivot tables, SUMIFS, Filter and subtotal)
· Strong experience with data tools (Tableau, Power BI, Power Automate preferred).
· Comfort working with large datasets and multiple operational systems.
· Experience building models that tie operational metrics to financial outcomes

· Prioritizes regular workload, special tasks and concurrent projects, allocating time and resources to ensure that work is completed accurately and efficiently within an established time frame.

Technical Competencies
o Basic Computer Skills –
· Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including model building, pivot tables, and multi-criteria functions.
· Experience building financial models and dashboards.
· Familiarity with ERP and BI systems; ability to learn new systems quickly
· Quickly learns and achieves proficiency in new software applications as needed.
