Organization: MPower Change is a grassroots movement rooted in diverse Muslim communities throughout the U.S., who are working together to build social, spiritual, racial, and economic justice for all people. Combining cutting-edge digital tools with years of field experience, organizing know-how, and an extensive network of supporters, MPower Change is redefining the ways that our communities build, maintain, and exercise power.

About the position: MPower Change is seeking 3 MPower Changemakers to support MPower Change campaigns across our Organizing, Campaigns, and Political departments in this crucial year. The fellows will support the #MyMuslimVote campaign and advocacy efforts for Palestine. The Changemaker fellows will support staff in researching, crafting webinars, toolkits, and mobilizing MPower Change members for actions and meetings. Changemakers will be trained on various tech tools (Thrutalk, Thrutext, G Suite, Zoom, Slack, Squarespace) and be introduced to MPower Change’s organizing cycle. 

When applying, applicants should indicate which department they have a preference for:

Organizing- Field mobilization, trainings, and GOTV (Get Out the Vote) efforts in this election year.

Campaigns- Digital campaigning to create rapid response campaigns, e-blasts, social media and digital advocacy actions. 

Political- Support advocacy efforts and research on legislation and electoral opportunities, as well as coordinate with other departments to run successful campaigns.

Qualifications:

• Passion for civic engagement, community organizing, and working to support the Muslim community
• Strong logistical and coordination skills, attention to detail, and a desire to learn with a fast-paced team
• Experience with phone banking is a plus, but not required
