STW: PaTS Liaison

Purpose:

Educate campus community members on all rules and regulations outlined in the Ordinance Governing Parking, Traffic and the Registration of Motor Vehicles for the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, department programs, and initiatives.

Create a friendly atmosphere and provide unparalleled customer service.

Policy:

It is the policy for PaTS staff to abide by the mission, vision and values in action which have been established to support the overall mission of University of North Carolina at Charlotte and the Department of Parking and Transportation Services.

Schedule:

Schedule will vary based on the needs of the department, the student’s class schedule, and the availability of programming. 

Students will be scheduled up to (25) hours per week with a minimum of (8) hours per week.

Some weekends will be required.

Mandatory workdays include, but are not limited to:

• Move-In
• Home Football Games
• Fall Commencement
• Spring Commencement
• CMS Graduation

Work Environment:

PaTS Liaisons must be able to:

• Work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Lift up to (50) lbs
• Walk, stand, and/or sit for extended periods of time

Uniform:

PaTS Liaisons will be issued the following:

• (3) T-Shirts
• (1) Hoodie
• (1) Winter Coat as requested
• (1) Baseball Cap as requested
• (1) Knitted Cap as requested

Primary Job Duties:

PaTS Liason duties include, but are not limited to:

• Participate in university orientation and tabling events
• Seek opportunities to engage and educate campus community members
• Assist campus community members by providing accurate parking information and outstanding customer service
• Serve as a member of the citation appeals committee
• Host regulatory class sessions
• Assist campus community members with PARCS system
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
• Must possess good judgement and the ability to remain calm under pressure
• Leadership experience preferred, but not required.
