Location:This is a home-based position

Position Overview:

  • Develop new business opportunities targeting key vertical markets including, Government Petrochemical, Aviation, Chemical and Pharma, focus on emergency response and fixed systems.
  • Develop knowledge of the full product portfolio with special emphasis/expertise in Class B foam and foam hardware systems.
  • Develop presentations for new business opportunities and foster relationships and develop partnerships with new customers
  • Monitor market trends and customer needs to help develop product, marketing, and channel strategy.
  • Support the transition of new customers to the sales staff
  • Support strategic initiatives to meet business goals

Major Responsibilities/Accountabilities: The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Identify new customer targets in key vertical markets
  • Prepare and present company and product orientation to new customers
  • Monitor and evaluate industry trends and customer drivers and meet regularly with management and stakeholders to discuss strategy
  • Manage proposal response process, including detailed RFP requirements, content creation, andinputs from various sources
  • Generate new leads, identify and contact decision-makers, screen potential business opportunities, select the deals in-line with strategies, and lead and facilitate
  • Support the business at trade shows and industry conferences

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

  • Bachelors degree in engineering, chemistry, business, and/or management
  • Successful track record in B2B sales and negotiation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Exposure to business enterprise systems (i.e. - NetSuite, SAP)
  • Ability to travel to 75% of the time
  • Experience with CRM software (i.e., NetSuite) preferred
  • Ability to create and deliver presentations (preferred)
