Position: Summer Internship Program

Location: Hybrid in Miami, Florida

Dates: May 12th - July 25th, 2025

Your Journey Awaits:

  • Dynamic Exposure: Immerse yourself in our business units, including Human Resources, Revenue Management, Communications, Finance and Accounting, IT, and Marine Operations.

Key Details:

  • Hybrid Program: This internship is a hybrid program based in Miami, Florida. Students must be available for the entire duration of the program and willing to work a hybrid schedule, combining both in-office and remote work. This is a full-time opportunity, with interns working 40 hours per week. While hours may vary, interns can expect to work from 9 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday.

  • Relocation Support: Carnival provides housing for interns who are relocating to Miami for the summer.

  • Eligibility: Juniors, seniors, and graduate students are preferred for the program.

  • Technical Requirements: Interns will be provided with a company-issued laptop and will need reliable internet when working remotely.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Training Program Support: Assist in the design, development, and implementation of training programs and materials. This includes e-learning modules, workshops, and on-the-job training sessions.

  • Content Creation: Develop engaging and interactive content for various training initiatives, ensuring alignment with company standards and objectives.

  • Data Analysis: Collect and analyze data related to training effectiveness and employee performance. Provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.

  • Administrative Tasks: Support the L&D team with scheduling, coordinating training sessions, and maintaining training records.

  • Employee Engagement: Participate in initiatives to enhance employee engagement and foster a culture of continuous learning and development.

  • Project Management: Contribute to various L&D projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project goals.

L&D Intern Project Topics:

As an L&D Intern at Carnival Cruise Line, you'll have the opportunity to work on a variety of exciting and impactful projects. Here are some examples of the specific projects you might be involved in:

  • E-Learning Module Development:

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to design and develop interactive e-learning modules.

  • Use tools to create engaging content that enhances employee learning experiences.

  • Training Needs Analysis:

  • Conduct surveys and interviews to identify training needs across different departments.

  • Analyze data to determine gaps in skills and knowledge and recommend appropriate training solutions.

  • Learning Management System (LMS) Administration:

  • Support the administration and maintenance of the LMS.

  • Upload and organize training materials, track employee progress, and generate reports.

  • Workshop Facilitation:

  • Assist in planning and facilitating in-person and virtual workshops.

  • Develop materials and activities that promote active learning and participation.

  • Performance Improvement Initiatives:

  • Work on projects aimed at improving employee performance and productivity.

  • Develop and implement strategies to address performance issues and enhance overall effectiveness.

  • Employee Engagement Campaigns:

  • Design and execute campaigns to promote continuous learning and development.

  • Create communication plans and materials to increase awareness and participation in L&D programs.

  • Project Management:

  • Lead or support various L&D projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within scope.

  • Coordinate with different teams and stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
