Role Overview
The Business Development Representative (BDR) is an entry-level sales position offering comprehensive training and significant opportunities for growth and advancement. In this role, you will be responsible for generating and qualifying leads through high-volume outbound calling and emailing. You will contribute directly to pipeline growth by meeting daily and weekly performance goals, and provide essential support to our Sales & Marketing teams.

You will be responsible for outbound prospecting using curated lists, making 125+ calls per day, and often serving as a prospect's initial point of contact with CIMcloud. Successful candidates will possess the resilience to navigate the daily challenges of high-volume call activity and the ability to guide individuals who fit our Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) from initial awareness of CIMcloud to an online overview with a member of our sales team. The Success Metrics of a BDR
- Achieve daily call volume targets (125+ per day)
- Meet weekly & monthly targets for customer meetings scheduled
- Attain weekly, monthly & quarterly Sales Accepted Lead (SAL) Targets
Key Responsibilities
1. Outbound Prospecting
- Make daily outbound calls in target markets
- Execute cadence-based prospecting to book discovery meetings
- Conduct initial discovery conversations to identify eCommerce related needs and pain-points
2. Opportunity Development
- Qualify leads based on our Ideal Customer Profile (ICP)
- Overcome objections and developing opportunities based on structured sales process
- Successfully transition of SAL-ready opportunities to Sales
3. Pipeline Management & Sales Execution
- Using a CRM to log and track all activities with prospects
- Track daily, weekly and monthly performance of call, meeting and SAL performance
- Participate in initial and ongoing sales and product training and personal development
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college
- Up to 2 years of outbound SDR/BDR experience, ideally in technology
- Demonstrated track record of performing in a high-volume outbound environment
- Proficiency in using CRM for lead management, sales cadence execution, and activity tracking
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the confidence to engage effectively across multiple organizational levels via phone and email
- Proven ability to conduct discovery conversations and uncover business pain points
- Self-starter with a competitive, goal-oriented mindset and a desire to grow beyond BDR role
- Comfortable working in a fully remote environment
- Highest levels of personal integrity in all internal and external interactions
- Coachable and eager to receive feedback, with a commitment to ongoing skill development
