CAD Technician

Key Responsibilities:

•  Being a TEAM PLAYER
• Using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) to produce detailed 2D and 3D drawings, plans, and models based on project specifications and design requirements.
• Organizing and maintaining CAD files, ensuring proper storage, retrieval, and version control.
• Reviewing drawings for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to customer requirements. 
• Preparation and review of documentation packages that include component drawings, inspection reports, material certifications, etc.
• Ensuring that products or services meet specified quality standards.
• Identifying issues and collaborating with colleagues to determine effective resolutions 
• Preparation of Manufacturing Inspection & Test Plans (MITPs)
• Recording flaw and mockup dimensions using calipers, micrometers, scales, etc.

 Key Skills and Experience:

 Essential:

• Comfortable working with 2D CAD software (AutoCAD preferred)
• Ability to effectively communicate and engage with colleagues, customers, and management
• Attention to detail and a disciplined approach to meeting quality standards
• Ability to multitask with good personal organization and time management skills
• Ability to work resourcefully without close supervision
• Familiarity with MS Office products (e.g., Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

 Preferred: 

• Previous Non-Destructive Evaluation (NDE) experience (e.g., MT, PT, UT, RT, etc.)
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment
• Experience working with Quality Assurance programs/requirements (e.g., ISO 9001, NQA-1, etc.)
• Willingness to take responsibility for his/her own self-development and identify training needs
