Job Description
- Create and execute quality career and professional development programming that results in the acquisition of professional competencies and engages students in the business profession, equips students to translate classroom knowledge into job-ready skills and behaviors that are desired by employers, and promotes experiential education, including internship for academic credit and study abroad.
- Provide classroom instruction for the Honors section of BUSN 1101, Introduction to Business & Professional Development, and required Honors courses including BUSN1701 (Corporate Citizenship), BUSN 2701 (Professionalism & Service), BUSN2702 (Leadership & Group Dynamics).
- Participate in recruitment, selection, and marketing outreach activities that attract, target, and admit high school seniors, transfer students, and current students, into honors programs.
- Manage productive relationships with employers, alumni, and the campus community for the purpose of strengthening internship opportunities and pipelines for entry-level work, as well as monitor hiring trends and employer needs.
- Administer and interpret career assessments and perform other outreach related to the Center’s mission.
- Assist in assessing program activities, monitoring student progress, report learning outcomes, and contribute to the timely and accurate collection of data.
- Actively participate in unit activities and events and collaborate with Honors faculty and staff and with Center staff to achieve goals supporting BHP and BSP, the PD team and the Center mission.
