Job Overview:

Aspen Grove is a growing company in the landscape and snow/ice management arena. The position reports directly to the Aspen Grove Controller with a dotted line to the Area Controller of Aspen Grove. This role is responsible for helping with all financial operations for the area assigned. Position provides oversight of budgeting, accounting and allocations, month-end close, and forecasting. This position will partner with Branch Administrators and/or company Controllers.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Work with Area Controller on monthly/quarterly/annual financials including month-end close, allocations, management reports, forecasting, and WIP. Primary point of contact for issues/questions raised by field administrative staff for financial systems-related questions.

• Work with Area Controller on budgeting processes. Enter the budgets into the appropriate ERP systems.

• Effectively help produce monthly financial reports, such as P&L reports, as well as month and YTD statements.

• Have an integral part in composing weekly A/R reports, unapplied cash reports and helping in the collection process with assigned regions. Process credit memos.

• Assure that accounting policies and procedures are being followed by regions.

• Assist in Mid-month inventory and year end inventory auditing.

Minimum Qualification:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting

• 2-3 or more years of accounting, finance experience

• Demonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft Excel including pivot tables (basic) and advanced formulas and intermate skills in word-processing required.

• Experience with ERP systems, PeopleSoft and Aspire preferred a plus.

• Ability to effectively communicate quantitative information verbally and in writing to audiences with varying levels of financial sophistication.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, to multi-task and to work collaboratively and cooperatively, as a member of a team. Must be organized and able to set priorities and to ensure timely completion of responsibilities. Able to work in a high-traffic area with frequent interruptions. Willing to work on various tasks as assigned.

• Able to work a flexible schedule as needed. Ability to work overtime in peak periods and some weekends required.

• Ability to achieve results/outcomes through influence, persuasiveness, good project/change management and a bias for action.

• Able to function as a member of a distributed business team.

• Prior landscape experience is a plus

• Travel may be required, up to 25%
