The City of Statesville is seeking a summer intern within the Engineering Department. This department is responsible for project management, construction inspection, plan review, small project designs and cost estimates, public infrastructure management, and technical support of the other City departments, developers, the BOC, and our citizens. We work closely with the Stormwater Division, Public Works, Planning, and NCDOT.

Areas of need include asset data collection, design standard policy research and development, plan review process support, construction inspection support, developing and administering bids for design and construction services, and digital archiving of engineering records.

The opportunity can assist our Engineering Technician, Construction Inspector, Project Manager, Staff engineer, and City Engineer.

Valuable insight and experience will be gained in many areas of municipal public service, with a focus on engineering responsibilities.

The position can be hybrid.. Office is located at 301 S center St. The candidate can provide what areas of concentration they are most interested in and duties may be focused to suit both parties.
