Job Description
The University Transfer Center provides advising support and advocacy to promote transfer student success. Through collaboration with campus and external partners, the goal of the Transfer Center is to provide the resources and knowledge essential to empowering transfer students and increasing their retention and graduation rates. The Transfer Center team is a resource to all transfer students, with a particular emphasis on prospective and newly enrolled students, as well as a resource to faculty and staff.
The Project
The student will assist in creating a focused, user-friendly Canvas module designed to support adult students during their first semester at UNC Charlotte. The work will involve curating key campus resources, organizing success tips, and developing a clear structure for the module. The student will also provide recommendations for layout and usability based on brief feedback from staff or peers.
Learning Experience
The student will gain hands-on experience in digital learning design, content organization, and adult student support. They will learn how to create engaging online materials that enhance student transition and success.
Outcomes
Draft Canvas module with organized structure and key content areas
Curated list of 8–10 essential resources with short descriptions
Recommendations for additional multimedia or usability enhancements
