Internship Location: Charlotte, NC

Internship Hours: Full-time, 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday- Friday

Job Summary:

This position will be supporting Sales Technology, a technical team within Compass Group, focusing on a multitude of use cases ranging from supporting new business sales, client retention, and operational needs across Compass Sectors and lines of business. This role involves technical analysis, configuration, and support for Dynamics CRM systems, ensuring optimal functionality to meet business objectives. These systems track seller and retention efforts leveraging Account, Contact, and Opportunity information. You will work closely with our development team to understand user and system needs and actions to take to support them.

Responsibilities:

  • Development and Customization 
    • Assist with basic CRM configuration tasks such as fields, forms, views, and simple workflows 
    • Assist with testing custom features, workflows, and integrations 
    • Learn the CRM development lifecycle, including DevOps and Agile delivery practices  
    • Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives  
    • Learn best practices for CRM upgrades, deployments, and environment management  
  • Support   

    • Support system testing, validation, and documentation during enhancements and releases  

    • Help troubleshoot routine CRM, data, and reporting issues and escalate complex items to senior team members    

  • Requirements Analysis 

    • Support senior team members in gathering and documenting business requirements  

    • Participate in stakeholder meetings to learn how business needs translate into CRM solutions  

    • Assist in creating functional documentation, user stories, and process flows 

  • Data and Reporting 
    • Support data quality efforts within the CRM system  
    • Assist with building and maintaining basic reports and dashboards 
    • Learn how CRM data supports sales performance, pipeline visibility, and operational reporting  
  •  Collaboration 
    • Work as part of a collaborative Sales Technology team  
    • Learn how to communicate technical concepts to non-technical users  
    • Proactively seek learning opportunities across CRM, integrations, data, and Agile delivery  
    • Receive mentorship and feedback from senior analysts and technical leads  

 

 

Qualifications: 

 

  • Required:

    • Pursuing a bachelor's degree as a rising junior or senior in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field 
    • 0–2 years of experience with CRM systems, data analysis, or business systems  
    • Strong curiosity, problem-solving mindset, and willingness to learn  
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail  
    • Strong communication skills and comfort working with both technical and business teams  
  • A solid track record of the following is a must:  
    • Takes ownership of the timely delivery of work assigned at high quality standards  
    • Strong troubleshooting and learning capabilities  
    • Likes change and can adapt easily to changing priorities 
    • Detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks at once  
    • Ability to interact with all levels of employees and all types of customers (both technical and non-technical personnel)  
    • Proactively seeks opportunities to broaden and deepen knowledge base and proficiencies 
    • Works well as a member of a team, shares knowledge and consults with others for best solutions  
    • Pushes creative thinking beyond the boundaries of existing industry practices and client mindsets  
    • Customer sensitive and results oriented  
    • Is able see the big picture and define success by a client satisfaction result, not best individual efforts
  • Special Skills:
    • Exposure to Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Power Platform, or similar CRM tools  
    • Basic understanding of data concepts (SQL, reporting, dashboards)  
    • Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies  
    • Interest in sales technology, CRM platforms, and enterprise systems
