The position will participate in the conceptualization, development and maintenance of valves, fittings, and valve automation products. Applicants must possess strong communication skills and able to work with cross-functional teams to implement ideas. 

essential duties and responsibilities: 

• Assist with the develop new product designs through the use of 3D CAD software.
• Perform complex design analysis through the use of finite element analysis, computational fluid dynamics, and DFMEA.
• Create detailed project schedules which include product design, tooling, agency approvals, and technical documentation requirements.
• Create and maintain technical design files.
• Assist with laboratory testing including pressure, temperature, fatigue, and other life cycle tests.
• Create test reports, assembly procedures and installation manuals as required for new product designs.
• Provide technical product support to internal staff members as needed.

qualifications and requirements: 

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited university.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Extensive experience with word processing and spreadsheet development.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience with 3D CAD software.
