The purpose of the position is to support the learning and engagement of Venture Outdoor Leadership’s student leaders.  The intern will work under the direction of the associate director. The intern will support Venture’s introductory course by helping to prepare weekly agendas and facilitating team building initiatives during classes. The intern will manage the peer mentor program for newly hired student leaders. Additionally, the intern will also facilitate team building programs as needed and as their schedule allows. Facilitation will align with the interns knowledge, skills, and abilities. 

The intern should be comfortable with public speaking and giving critical feedback to peers; have strong interpersonal communication skills; strong organization skills; and proven attention to detail.  The intern must be a VOLT in good standing with Venture Outdoor Leadership.  Additional qualifications include: a consistent, positive presence within Venture Outdoor Leadership; an Instructor status (or higher) in team building/ challenge course; and/or a Lead status in adventure trips.
