Monarch NC is seeking an experienced Behavioral Health Therapist to join our Child Crisis team in Charlotte, North Carolina. We provide trauma-informed, high-quality care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, mental illness, and substance use disorders—and we’re looking for someone who shares our mission to provide hope, promote wellness, and empower those who need it most.
About the Role
As a Behavioral Health Therapist, you’ll support children, adolescents, and families receiving Facility-Based Crisis (FBC) services. You’ll:
- Conduct therapeutic assessments to identify emotional and behavioral needs.
- Provide individual, group, and family therapy using person-centered, trauma-informed approaches.
- Collaborate with families and care teams to develop effective treatment plans.
- Help youth navigate complex feelings and build emotional resilience.
This role is ideal for therapists who are passionate about working with young people and skilled in helping them process emotions, build coping strategies, and move toward healing.
What You’ll Bring
To qualify, candidates must have:
- A Master’s Degree in a Human Services-related field.
- At least 2 years of experience working with youth and families with mental health and/or substance use challenges, including 1 year of postgraduate experience.
- One of the following North Carolina licenses:
- LCASA (Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist Associate)
- LCMHCA (Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate)
- LMFTA (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate)
- LCSWA (Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate)
