Monarch NC, a trusted nonprofit provider of trauma-informed care for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, mental illness, and substance use disorders, is seeking a Qualified Professional or Registered Nurse to join our Mobile Crisis team in Pittsboro, North Carolina.

What You’ll Do

As a Mobile Crisis Professional, you’ll be a vital part of a team that responds to urgent behavioral health needs in the community. You’ll provide:

• Crisis intervention through psychiatric assessments
• Short-term service planning and coordination to stabilize situations and promote safety
• Support for involuntary commitment and placement in higher levels of care when necessary
• Intervention methods including face-to-face or phone assessments, family support, hospital or respite placement, crisis planning, and follow-up care
• Evaluation of support systems to determine the level of immediate assistance needed

Who We’re Looking For

To qualify, candidates must meet one of the following:

• North Carolina Qualified Professional (as defined by 10A NCAC 27G .0104)
• North Carolina Registered Nurse with an Associate’s Degree in Nursing and 4 years of experience with mental health/substance use populations

Experience Requirements:

• At least 1 year in a crisis management setting
• At least 2 years working with adults with mental health diagnoses and/or substance use disorders
