JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
To assist with the Professional Attire Closet Program through outreach, organizing, sorting, and distributing donated professional attire for students in need; assist with career programs by greeting students, employers, and classes; outreach to students about career programs; provide technical and logistical support for programs. The student will serve as a Part-Time Student Services Specialist. Welcome students as they enter the Professional Attire Closet. As students' shop, recommend clothing that is appropriate for their professional needs. Ensure the attire looks appealing on racks; hang and return clothing to appropriate racks. Answer questions (e.g., how outfits look, return policy, cost) students may ask regarding their selection of clothing within the Professional Attire Closet. To ensure that outfits fit, encourage students to try their selection of clothing on in the available changing room. Check Professional Attire Closet drop off boxes at various locations each week, transport surplus donations to the Bank of America Career Services Center using the office cart/wagon, conduct community outreach with phone calls/flyers, and approach student groups for donation support. Provide additional outreach and drop-off donations for campus and community organizations with the surplus donations from the Professional Attire Closet (e.g., local community non-profit thrift stores). Other duties as assigned. Preference will be given to candidates that can start the week of January 13, 2025.
