Duties Responsibilities

Looking for a student who is interested in working in the UNC Charlotte Scene Shop under the supervision of the Technical Director to produce high-quality scenery for the College of Arts and Architecture. Responsibilities include assisting with load-ins and strikes in addition to scenic builds.  Students must have a high regard for safety.  Student must be dependable.

Other Work Responsibilities

Student must be comfortable working at heights including working in catwalks or a genie lift.  Student must be able to safely carry items weighing 40lbs.  Student must be comfortable using hand trucks, carts, getting dirty, and working on their feet for long periods of time. 

The scene shop is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9:30am-4:00pm. Please do not apply if you are not available to work during those hours.  Occasional weekend hours are a possibility depending on needs of productions.  Students are expected to be dependable and present for scheduled shifts. Students must show a progression of growth applying training and on the job experience.
