Job Description
- Direct day-to-day management of all transportation-related areas of the department including: Niner Transit, Niner Paratransit, scooter/bike/car-sharing programs, bicycle locker rentals, department fleet management, in-vehicle bus advertising, bus shelter advertising, chartered and special-event transportation.
- Direct management of approximately 20 staff members.
- Include recruiting, hiring, training and general employee relations.
- Respond to general customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner
- Provide department leadership with various reports and support department initiatives and projects
- Review and process necessary billing for contract and chartered transportation services
- Track and manage department vehicle and equipment maintenance
- Must be available after-hours to receive emergency calls
- Plan and supervise transportation-related services for larger campus events such as football and commencement ceremonies
- Assumes the duties of the Assistant Director for Transportation in their absence.
