Pharmacy Benefits Technician-(Remote)

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Pharmacy Benefits Verification Technician to support members, providers, and insurance carriers by ensuring accurate insurance verification and prescription claims processing. This is an excellent opportunity for a state-licensed and nationally certified Pharmacy Technician who enjoys problem-solving and working in a collaborative, fast-paced healthcare environment.

Location : Plymouth, MI & North Canton, OH | Hybrid, but primarily remote (1-2 days a month if needed)

Pay Rate : $20.50/hour Schedule : Monday-Friday, 11:30 AM-8:00 PM; occasional Saturdays (9:00 AM-5:00 PM) and overtime as business needs require

What You'll Do:

• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits through outbound calls and follow-up communications

• Resolve prescription and claims issues to ensure timely adjudication

• Coordinate with Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) services to support accurate billing

• Assist pharmacists and internal teams with audits and compliance reviews

• Document all correspondence, escalations, and resolutions in accordance with payer and regulatory requirements

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Active State Pharmacy Technician license (in Michigan or Ohio)

• National certification (PTCB or NHA)

• 1-2+ years of pharmacy experience (retail, mail order, specialty, PBM, or managed care)

• Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills

• Claims adjudication and secondary billing

• Medicaid and discount card processing

• PBM or managed care environment
