As a Social Media/Videographer Intern at Southern Entertainment, you will work hands-on in a creative environment where your ideas will be valued. You will have the opportunity to assist with creating and curating engaging video content and social media campaigns that reflect the essence of our brand. Your work will be featured across various platforms and used to promote events and experiences at Carolina Adventure World and other exciting SE productions. This is a unique opportunity to gain invaluable experience in the entertainment and event production industry while contributing to the growth of our social media presence.

Responsibilities

• Create & Curate Video Content: Capture, film, and edit engaging video content for social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, etc.) that aligns with SE’s brand and tone.
• Collaborate with Marketing Team: Work closely with the marketing coordinator to develop creative strategies and produce content that connects with our audience and supports SE’s overall objectives.
• Trend Awareness & Content Innovation: Stay up-to-date with social media trends, viral content, and new platform features to adapt strategies and keep SE’s social media presence fresh and relevant.
• Filming at Events & On-Site Locations: Attend on-site filming sessions at Carolina Adventure World and other SE events (festivals, concerts, etc.) to capture live action, interviews, and behind-the-scenes content.
• Assist with Social Media Management: Help monitor and manage social media channels, including scheduling posts, engaging with followers, and responding to messages/comments.

Requirements

• Social Media Savvy: A strong understanding of various social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, etc.) and how to engage with different audiences.
• Filming & Editing Skills: Proficiency in filming and editing video content (knowledge of tools like Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, or similar editing software is a plus).
• Creative Mindset: Ability to think outside the box and generate innovative content ideas that will resonate with our audience.
• Effective Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills for creating engaging captions, and collaborating with the marketing team.
• Time Management: Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Availability: Must be able to come on-site weekly or biweekly for filming sessions. Flexibility for event-based filming is required.
