Job Description

Wells Fargo Securities (WFS) is comprised of more than 5,000 team members in more than 40 offices across North America, Europe, and Asia. Wells Fargo Securities Operations primarily supports the Wells Fargo Securities group sales and trading activities. The product areas supported consist of the firm’s securities activities (both fixed income and equities), fixed income derivatives, real estate capital markets, credit derivatives, equity derivatives, prime services, and exchange-traded futures and options. Undergraduate Program The Leadership program develops early stage talent for future leadership roles across Wells Fargo Securities Operations. The program will combine on-the-job experience with formal development actions with a focus on Capital Markets activities. The duration of the program is 22 months. The following are desired traits for the role: • Proven leadership experience • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Self starter • Someone that works well in team or individual environment • Detail oriented • Ability to take direction, but offer constructive input This position will work on a rotation across operations teams including: • Client support • Reconciliations • Settlements (derivatives & securities) • Collateral and Confirmations • Funding • Project Management • Middle Office • Futures and Derivatives Clearing • Prime Services • Operations Control Group Qualifications UG • Ability to research, compile, and perform basic analysis on operational data. Independently provides basic summary of operational data. Possesses basic troubleshooting and resolution skills. Has good reporting skills • College senior graduating December 2016 - spring 2017 • Due to the fast track nature of the program, ideal candidates would be described as a high potential individual that currently demonstrates strong leadership capabilities • Superb interpersonal skills • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate ideas and strategies clearly, both verbally and in writing, to all levels • Must have proven team building skills and success in a team-oriented environment • Proficiency in handling multiple projects and assignments while maintaining a high level of performance • Able to work in a fast-paced environment, independently and collaboratively in a team • Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Preference will be given to candidates whose field of study is in business management, finance, economics, engineering, mathematics, or computer science. Other preferred qualifications are 2+ years of Operations experience, demonstrated ability to succeed in a multi-tasking environment, maintaining organization, priority and effective time management and impactful involvement through school, volunteerism or activism within the community.
