Test Prep Tutor

Do you like teaching and working with high-schoolers? Huntington Learning Center is the place for you!

As an employee of Huntington Learning Center, you will work with high school students of all skill levels in English/Reading/Writing or Math to prepare them for tests such as the SAT or ACT. Subject tutoring focuses on individual courses/subjects rather than test prep.

Each student session lasts 2 hours. On-site tutoring is preferred but amenable to hybrid/remote work, although there is not much demand. In some cases, a student may require exclusively in-person tutoring sessions.

Curriculum and placement tests are provided for student sessions. No prior preparation needed!

Students are one-on-one or up to four-to-one as the maximum ratio.

We are understanding of scheduling restraints and can accommodate them.

Our current hours are 11-8 Monday-Thursday (most students start at or after 4) and 9-2 on Saturdays.

We are looking for candidates that have either at least two weekday afternoon/evenings available, or at least one weekday and Saturday availability. Our ideal candidates have experience tutoring and/or teaching, have worked with high schoolers before, are outgoing, and have a passion for helping students thrive. However, not having all does not exclude you as a candidate.

You will take a mock SAT to determine whether you can tutor test prep, you must score at least a 650 in either reading or math.
