Monarch NC, a provider of high‑quality, trauma‑informed services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, mental illness, and substance use disorders, is seeking a dedicated Assistant Team Leader for our Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team in Winston Salem, North Carolina.

 

What You’ll Do

As the Assistant Team Leader, you will play a key role in supporting both the clinical direction and daily operations of the ACT team. In partnership with the Team Leader, you will:

  • Guide, coach, and support team members to ensure consistent, person‑centered, respectful services.
  • Provide direct clinical services as a practicing clinician on the ACT team.
  • Assist individuals in developing skills and supports needed to live, learn, work, and participate fully in the community with as much independence and self‑determination as possible.
  • Facilitate independent living skills training and link individuals with community agencies, services, and natural supports.
  • Assess individual needs on a daily basis and assist in coordinating care with inpatient settings, detox facilities, residential programs, and community resources.
  • Help maintain team performance, quality standards, and clinical best practices.

 

This role is ideal for a therapist who is passionate about community‑based work and is ready to step into leadership.

 

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in a Human Services–related field (required)
  • One of the following active North Carolina licenses: LCMHCA, LCSWA, or LMFTA
  • At least 2 years of full‑time experience working with adults with severe and persistent mental illness
  • Management or supervisory experience preferred
