Job Description
Camp Counselors are responsible for supervising campers throughout the camp day and ensuring seamless transitions between arrival, camp sessions, lunch, extended day, and dismissal. Counselors serve as frontline leaders in camper safety, attendance accountability, parent communication, and staff oversight. They are expected to exercise sound judgment, maintain consistent headcounts, and proactively support camp providers and leadership.
This is a high-visibility, high-accountability role requiring strong organization, initiative, and professionalism.
The Counselor position will receive guidance from the assigned Camp Provider and their assigned Unit Coordinator, and will report directly to the Assistant Camp Director/Camp Director.
Counselors must be available to work at minimum 4 weeks of Camp Cannon and attend mandatory training (June 1-4) prior to the beginning of Camp.
