Job Description
This is a joint application for Peer Tutors & Peer Assisted Learning (PAL) Leaders, who will be serving during the Spring 2025 semester.
PAL Leaders & Peer Tutors are academic leaders on campus who are expected to support the objectives of Course Support, which are to
- Provide undergraduate students at Charlotte access to free, high-quality, peer-to-peer course support.
- Foster a challenging, yet supportive learning environment by providing strength-focused services.
- Promote a collaborative relationship among course support leaders and students.
Peer Tutors may work with a variety of courses, and conduct individual and/or small group tutoring sessions with undergraduate students enrolled in those particular courses. Peer Tutors must offer at least 5 hours of appointment availability, and may be given the option to provide drop-in tutoring hours.
Peer Assisted Learning (PAL) Leaders work with one course throughout the semester. PAL Leaders attend lecture and plan and conduct 4 interactive, group study sessions for that course each week.
