The College of Humanities & Earth and Social Sciences (CHESS) is seeking an enthusiastic and committed CHESS Student Engagement Ambassador to join our team. This student role offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in event planning, community outreach, and student engagement while representing CHESS programs.
As a CHESS Student Engagement Ambassador, you will work closely with faculty, staff, and students to help foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere. You will assist in organizing and promoting various events and workshops, serving as a key resource for students navigating CHESS resources and programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning, organizing, and promoting CHESS events such as workshops, open houses, and student activities.
- Serve as a liaison between CHESS students, faculty, and staff, helping students access academic and campus resources.
- Support outreach and engagement efforts to enhance CHESS visibility across campus.
- Maintain weekly office hours to assist students and answer questions about CHESS programs and resources.
- Collaborate with CHESS staff to create promotional materials and assist with event logistics.
- Promote a welcoming and inclusive environment for all students.
Position Requirements:
- Must be a CHESS major or minor.
- Federal Work-Study eligibility required.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Interest in event planning, student engagement, and academic outreach is a plus.
