Duties & Responsibilities
The Forecasting Department at ADUSA Procurement plays a critical role in ensuring optimal product availability across stores and distribution centers through accurate, data-driven demand forecasting. This team manages forecasts for up to 10,000 SKUs using advanced statistical tools, integrating demand plans into replenishment systems to support store operations, vendor collaboration, promotional planning, and overall supply chain efficiency.
The intern will shadow the Forecasting team to gain exposure to demand planning processes, system workflows, and forecasting tools like Relex. They will assist with data analysis, identifying sales trends, and learning how forecast accuracy impacts store replenishment and promotional planning. Additionally, the intern will observe cross-functional collaboration and support basic troubleshooting or reporting tasks under the guidance of experienced analysts.
Qualifications
- Analytical Thinking - Ability to interpret data, identify patterns, and understand how trends affect demand forecasting.
- Attention to Detail - Careful review of data and forecasts to catch discrepancies and support accuracy.
- Basic Excel Proficiency - Familiarity with Excel functions to work with datasets and assist in simple reporting or analysis.
- Communication Skills - Ability to ask questions, follow instructions, and collaborate with team members effectively.
- Willingness to Learn - A proactive attitude and curiosity to understand complex forecasting systems, tools, and supply chain processes.
