About Delta Cargo
Much as Delta Air Lines helps passengers reach their destinations, the Cargo division serves companies in the safe and efficient transport of a wide range of freight, including everything from mail to live animals and life-saving pharmaceuticals.
Different departments in the Cargo division provide rate information, sell cargo space in the belly of Delta's passenger aircraft, track & trace freight and resolve customer problems. Additionally, they safely move cargo from a warehouse location to airport ramp areas and ensure proper delivery onto the appropriate aircraft.
About Cargo Commercial
The Cargo Commercial team includes Global Sales, Product, Marketing/Communications, Sales Development, Market Development, and Insights Delivery.
Overall function and role:

Contribute to the Market Development efforts at Delta Cargo. Develop and grow our cargo markets, working across teams to perform analysis, create action plans, and identify opportunities.

Assist with Insights Delivery team, empowering cargo colleagues and customers with the insights they need, developing new ways to connect people with our business.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Partner across Cargo teams gathering qualitative and quantitative date to make recommendations for optimal revenue generation

Lead competitive research and industry analysis to help Delta Cargo capture new opportunities in the air cargo market, and craft action plans across teams to execute on these opportunities

Assist with report design, modifications, and enhancements (e.g. automation) using various BI Tools (Tableau, SQL, Microsoft PowerBI, etc.) that connect our people with the insights they need

Responsible for performing various statistical and quantitative analyses

Responsible for creating PowerPoint presentations used in internal and industry presentations

Develop analysis tools to help analyze new market ventures and evaluate P&L performance in existing markets

Assist in revenue forecasting and performance analysis

Assist with various ad hoc information requests
What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
-
Full-time student pursuing an undergraduate degree in a 4-year academic institution
-
At least a 3.0 GPA on a 4-point scale
-
Must be available to work on a full-time basis as an undergraduate student during the following 3 alternating semesters: Spring 2025, Fall 2025, Summer 2026

Candidate is team-oriented and highly supportive of continuous improvement methodologies

Strong organizational, project management, analytic/problem-solving skills, and verbal/written communication skills are essential

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Willingness/ability to learn new skills is required
Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.
Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
