McDowell Hetherington LLP, a commercial litigation firm of over 65 attorneys with a nationwide practice, is seeking candidates for a staff attorney position in its Arlington office. This is a 4- month commitment beginning 2024 with the potential opportunity to continue to grow with the firm based on performance and workflow. McDowell Hetherington LLP offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience.

Requirements:

·      Juris Doctor degree and Texas Bar admission

·      1-2 years of prior of legal experience

·      Attend hearings 1-2 times/week and work in person full time

·      Comfortable in a small court setting

Day to Day Duties:

·      Perform factual legal research and analysis

·      Work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced environment

·      Demonstrate attention to detail and excellent communication skills

·      Exercise strong time management and interpersonal skills

The strongest candidates will have had mock trial or moot court experience, or a law license in addition to Texas, Florida or California. Compensation is competitive but dependent upon each candidate’s experience and background.
