Engine Assembly - Production Supervisor (assembly and welding fabrication, and scheduling)

Join our Siemens Energy Gas Turbine plant as a Production Supervisor, where you will manage the Engine Assembly manufacturing area and ensure the success of our operations. You will leverage operational measurements and metrics to oversee the production process, ensuring that products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and with the highest quality. Your role will involve leading a diverse team, driving process improvements through initiatives like Six Sigma, 5S, and Lean Manufacturing. With minimal direction, you will supervise production employees, manage scheduling assignments, monitor fulfillment of customer requirements, and act as the primary contact for production-related issues. Your ability to motivate and unify your team will be key to achieving our business goals.

How You'll Make an Impact

• Youwill ensure that all manufacturing personnel follow safe work practices,taking corrective action when necessary to maintain compliance with OSHAstandards.

• Studydaily operating results and collaborate with supervisors to resolveproduction problems, ensuring that issues are addressed promptly.

• Distributestaff effectively and assist in training new or transferred employees,coordinating temporary staffing needs as required.

• Authorizeand evaluate overtime requirements for production employees, ensuringoptimal resource allocation.

• Monitorcustomer production requirements and adjust schedules as needed, whilemaintaining accurate documentation of employee attendance records.

• Evaluateproduction reports and metrics, making informed decisions that align withshort and long-term goals, while promoting continuous improvementinitiatives.

What You Bring

• Youhave 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, particularlyin assembly and welding fabrication, withadditional experience in scheduling or production control being a plus.

• ABachelor's or Associate's degree is preferred, but not mandatory.

• You areavailable for weekend shiftsupport as necessary andhave experience in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and/or 5S methodologies.

• Yourworking knowledge of MRP and Quality Control systems will be invaluable inthis role.

• Youpossess excellent computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office, andhave experience in conflict resolution within an hourly workforce.
