Job Summary The
Quality Assurance Specialistis responsible for supporting the implementation and maintenance of the company's Quality Management System (QMS). This role ensures compliance with aviation industry standards, regulations, and customer requirements by conducting inspections, audits, and documentation reviews. The ideal candidate will collaborate with the quality team to improve processes and ensure the highest standards of safety and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Quality Inspections:
- Conduct inspections of incoming and outgoing parts to ensure they meet industry and customer standards.
- Verify compliance with technical specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Documentation and Records:
- Review and maintain accurate quality assurance documentation, including inspection records, certifications, and compliance reports.
- Ensure documentation meets FAA, AS9120, and ISO 9001 standards.
- Audits and Compliance:
- Assist with internal audits and preparations for external audits, including FAA and third-party certification bodies.
- Identify and document non-conformance issues and support the development of corrective actions.
- Process Support:
- Work with the quality team to ensure adherence to the QMS processes and procedures.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and suggest ways to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Supplier Quality Assurance:
- Collaborate with suppliers to verify the quality of incoming parts and materials.
- Assist in supplier evaluations and performance tracking.
- Customer Support:
- Address customer quality concerns by providing accurate documentation and resolving issues in a timely manner.
- Foster positive relationships with customers by demonstrating a commitment to quality.
Qualifications:
- Education:Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Aviation, Engineering, or a related field is preferred. Relevant experience will be considered.
- Experience:
- 2+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, preferably in the aerospace or aviation industry.
- Familiarity with FAA regulations, AS9120, ISO 9001, or similar aviation quality standards.
- Experience in an MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) environment or FAA Part 145 repair station is a bonus.
- Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in using inspection tools and reading technical drawings/specifications.
- Effective communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Certifications:
- ASQ certification or similar is a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 - $30.63 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
