The Internship
The Education Intern supports the implementation of educational programs at Daniel Stowe Conservancy under the supervision of the Education Manager. This role includes assisting with curriculum development, program delivery, group facilitation, and evaluation for both youth and adult audiences. The intern will work across a variety of programs, including camps, field trips, and special events, while gaining experience in both indoor and outdoor educational settings.

Learning Experience
The Education Intern will gain hands-on experience planning, facilitating, and evaluating environmental education programs for diverse audiences. Through this role, the intern will develop skills in curriculum design, group management, and public engagement while working closely with experienced educators. The intern will also gain exposure to nonprofit operations through cross-departmental collaboration with teams such as events, exhibits, recreation, and volunteer services.

Outcomes
-Support the successful implementation of educational programs, including camps, field trips, and special events -Contribute to the development and refinement of environmental education curriculum -Demonstrate increased confidence in facilitating or assisting with group learning experiences -Strengthen communication, organizational, leadership, and time management skills -Maintain and organize educational materials and resources for youth and adult programs -Gain a comprehensive understanding of environmental education within a nonprofit setting
