What we’re really looking for is a great engineer — someone who loves building clean, reliable systems, solving tricky problems, and learning how the business side fits into the tech side.

As a Solutions Engineer at Benefit Cloud, you’ll be client-facing, working directly with partners to build and automate benefit feeds that power the modern HR ecosystem. This role sits at the intersection of software engineering, data automation, and human sanity. You’ll help us tame the chaos of healthcare, payroll, and insurance integrations — one elegant script at a time.

What You’ll Do

• Design, build, and maintain automated data integrations between HR, payroll, and benefits platforms
• Collaborate with clients and partners to translate business needs into technical solutions
• Troubleshoot data issues and create resilient systems that keep benefits running smoothly
• Continuously improve internal tooling and processes to scale our integrations faster and cleaner

What We’re Looking For

• 2+ years of experience in software engineering, scripting, or data automation
  • Unless you're right out of school and fall into the trap of it being impossible to both get your first job AND have 2+ years of experience.
• Strong knowledge of Python, APIs, or cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
• Excellent communication skills — you’ll often be the bridge between clients and code
• Curiosity to learn how the business side of benefits and HR tech actually works
• A healthy sense of humor and a desire to bring order to chaotic systems
