About the Role

Global Bridge Advisory is a Charlotte, North Carolina-based startup working at the intersection of AI governance, international compliance, and technology implementation. We help nonprofits, municipal governments, and civic institutions navigate emerging AI policy frameworks, and we are building Crossera, a technology platform focused on the commercial transportation industry, where AI governance, data policy, and software development come together directly. This internship is an opportunity to work on real projects at that intersection, alongside our founder, from day one.

As a Researcher Intern, you will conduct applied research at the intersection of AI governance and the transportation industry, directly supporting our work on Crossera and our broader policy consulting practice.

What You'll Do

• Conduct applied research on AI governance, transportation policy, and regulatory trends affecting the commercial driver industry
• Gather and analyze data from public sources, including federal agencies (such as FMCSA) and state transportation departments, to support our economic impact and industry analysis
• Help build the evidence base behind Crossera's product and research strategy, including problem statements and market analysis
• Support the preparation of research memos, data summaries, and citations for use in reports and public filings
• Assist with literature reviews on AI governance, driver workforce trends, and technology adoption in transportation
• Collaborate with the Analyst and Software Development interns to ensure research findings inform both policy work and product decisions

What We're Looking For

• Currently pursuing a degree in public affairs, public policy, economics, data analysis, or a related field
• Strong analytical skills and comfort working with data from public and government sources
• Clear, organized writing for research summaries and briefs
• Interest in transportation policy, workforce issues, or the practical application of AI governance
• No prior professional experience required; research methods coursework or a data-related project is a plus
