Job Description:
This job is responsible for supporting data and technology requests, complex reporting and analysis, and modeling to manage risk and minimize credit and operating losses. Key responsibilities include reviewing and analyzing portfolio trends, supporting the development of more complex databases or queries to extract data, and supporting the production of data for internal and external reporting needs. Job expectations include working with Technology to implement changes necessary to support ongoing data needs.
Position Summary:
The Commercial Regulatory Asset Quality Reporting analyst is responsible for the preparation, analysis, and governance of internal and external commercial asset quality reporting. This role partners closely with Global Regulatory Reporting (GRR), Accounting Policy, Credit Risk, Loan Operations, Data Management, and Internal/External Audit teams to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of key credit-related disclosures and regulatory filings. The ideal candidate possesses a strong foundation in credit risk, finance, and regulatory reporting, along with the analytical and communication skills necessary to effectively interpret and explain credit trends to a broad range of stakeholders.
Detailed responsibilities include:

Prepare monthly and quarterly commercial asset quality reporting for internal management and external disclosures. Support key external reporting requirements, including SEC filings (10-Q, 10-K, Earnings Releases), FR Y-9C, FFIEC 031 Call Reports

Ensure reporting accuracy, completeness, and adherence to established governance standards

Research and analysis of key credit data including net credit losses, loan, delinquencies, nonperforming and criticized balances; prepare variance analysis that explain fluctuations
-
Support ad hoc analyses and executive reporting related to commercial credit performance and risk trends
-
Respond to requests from Internal Audit, External Audit, Independent Testing, SOX reviews, and regulatory examinations. Maintain robust documentation, procedures, controls, and reporting playbook. Ensure compliance with internal governance standards and regulatory expectations.

Maintain appropriate documented procedures and controls, adhere to internal reporting playbook activities and governance processes

Identify and implement opportunities to streamline reporting processes and enhance controls through automation
Responsibilities:

Supports the development and execution of reporting to allow Risk and business partners to effectively identify and manage risk

Analyzes trends and supports the data design, portfolio trends, loss trends, and portfolio dynamics to ensure alignment with business strategies
-
Provides analytical support on various product strategic initiatives affecting multiple Risk functions and lines of business to ensure company goals are met
-
Participates in the development of database production processes and performance reports for senior management, using data mining and other advanced analytical techniques to aggregate data
-
Supports with responding to complex ad-hoc requests for information from both internal and external parties
-
Provides support on cross-functional efforts to remediate data quality issues
-
Monitors the outputs of controls and investigates alerts from the control checks
Required Candidate Qualifications:
-
Bachelor's Degree required (accounting, finance, risk a plus)
-
Minimum 3 years of regulatory reporting, financial analysis, or credit risk reporting experience
-
Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
-
Experience leveraging tools such as Alteryx, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, MicroStrategy, VBA
-
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
-
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
-
Self-motivated with a demonstrated sense of ownership, intellectual curiosity, and problem-solving ability
Desired Candidate Qualifications:

Experience with commercial credit risk reporting and regulatory disclosures

Familiarity with Credit Risk Platform (CRP)

Familiarity with eLedger/General Ledger accounting system

Strong analytical and financial acumen with the ability to translate data into meaningful business insights
