Charlotte Pride Spring 2025 Internship
Overview: Charlotte Pride offers dynamic and immersive internships designed to provide students with hands-on experience working with one of the largest LGBTQ+ organizations in the Southeast. As part of our internship program, participants will help further our mission by supporting initiatives that empower and celebrate LGBTQ+ communities.
Details: This spring internship will focus on communications, programming, and event planning. Interns will work closely with the Charlotte Pride team, gaining insight into nonprofit operations and large-scale event production. This is an excellent opportunity to apply skills in social media, marketing, and program development while engaging with meaningful community initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
· Assist Charlotte Pride staff with daily tasks, volunteer events, meetings, and community outreach efforts while gaining practical experience.
· Support the planning and promotion of programs, including the Charlotte Pride Job Fair, Reel Out Charlotte: The Queen City’s Annual LGBTQ Film Festival, and the 2025 Festival & Parade weekend.
· Collaborate with staff to develop a meaningful project and represent Charlotte Pride at community events throughout the internship.
· Collaborate on social media campaigns and marketing strategies for upcoming events.
Skills & Qualifications:
· Interest in LGBTQ+ issues, nonprofit work, and event coordination.
· Strong writing, communication, and organization skills.
· Experience or coursework in marketing, communications, or program management preferred.
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.

Commitment:
· 12 weeks during the spring semester.
· 10 hours per week, with flexibility to accommodate academic schedules.
· Hybrid work environment with occasional community-based activities.
