Everytown for Gun Safety, the nation’s largest gun violence prevention advocacy group, is seeking an Intern for the summer to join and support the various functions of the Supporter Growth and Cultivation Team. The Supporter Growth and Cultivation is responsible for the online and offline fundraising and grassroots donor engagement including mass email and SMS campaigns, conduct research and refining messaging to help retain and foster new donor relationship etc. In this role, the Intern will report to the Associate Director of Fundraising Strategy and Growth. Interns are expected to work no more than 25 hours per week. Position will either be remote or be based from our NYC office.

In this role you will:

• Helping brainstorm creative campaigns and fundraising tactics to help achieve goals.
• Working with the Director of Grassroots Fundraising Growth & Strategy to ensure ad creative is written, reviewed, and approved according to schedule.
• Learning and helping to draft fundraising copy for email, landing pages, SMS, ads, etc.
• Helping review online fundraising performance and data.
• Proofing and QAing fundraising and other digital marketing collateral, including emails and SMS.
• Completing other relevant fundraising tasks.

You should have:

• Experience and interest in writing fundraising materials.
• Experience in learning about multichannel fundraising strategy.
• Copyediting and proofreading skills.
• A desire to work in a fast-paced, campaign-like environment within a growing, diverse team.
• A strong attention to detail.
• Experience with eCRM and ESPs considered a plus.

The minimum pay rate for this position is $17.00 per hour.
