About The Role:
At this exciting internship, you will gain a broad overview of the Corporate Accounting Services department! This includes assisting accounting professionals, as well as performing a variety of accounting duties.
This is a remote, part-time position (20 weekly hours).
Compensation is appx $18.00 per hour.
Third-year student status preferred.
This internship is last for 1 year, with the possibility of a full time offer after completion of a 4 year degree.
What You'll Do:

We will ask you to assist with assembling, analyzing and balancing general ledgers, and month end related entries.

Research open accounting issues and discrepancies.

Verify the accuracy of journal entries and accounting classifications assigned to various source documents.

Assist in month end procedures.

Participate in informative overviews, including observing and assisting within the various functional areas; such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, etc.

Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's (BA/BS) program from an accredited four-year college or university, in Accounting or related field. Third-year student status preferred.

Understanding of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.

Understanding of Cash Basis Accounting and Accrual Basis Accounting.

Ability to understand and carry out instructions in standard situations. Ability to identify and tackle various types of problems. Requires strong analytical and quantitative skills. Desire to thrive in a fast paced work environment.

Possess comprehensive analytical skills, and interpret business documents.

Uses a proactive approach to unusual occurrences. Requires good organizational skills, attention to detail, and being open to exciting insights and procedures. General experience with MS Office software.
