The position is available to rising sophomores, juniors, and seniors who are enrolled full-time in their first bachelor’s degree program.

Are you a student who has a passion for graphic design and social media? Are you looking to gain practical experience transferable for future professional endeavors? If so look no further the UNC Charlotte College of Engineering has multiple student life social media accounts that need your talent. These accounts highlight student projects, club activities, important events, and more! The purpose of these accounts was to continuously engage with the student population within the College of Engineering and highlight all that our students do. 

The Graphic Design + Social Media Student Employee will be an integral part of our marketing team. This position will allow the student employee to increase their skills in graphic design and social media management and earn entry-level professional experience as a student employee. This position is open with immediate need, but we want to find the right fit. We are looking for a bright team player with demonstrated graphic design and marketing skills as well as a strong work ethic. This person loves the feeling of being connected and challenged and is wired for Graphic Design and Social Media Marketing. 



Responsibilities:

  • Creative copywriting and storytelling.
  • Manage social media content and calendar.
  • Create, curate, and manage content (photography, graphics, blogs, etc.).
  • Manage day-to-day social media communications and campaigns.
  • Manage feedback, utilize strategic hashtags, and build community.
  • Analyze successes and trends.
  • Assist with graphic design needs.
  • Administrative responsibilities/errands.
  • Planning social media posts (live and future), receiving feedback, posting, and scheduling.

Qualifications:

    • Skilled in Graphic design and knowledgeable of Canva applications.
    • Creative storyteller, innovative thinker.
    • Will have an understanding of target audiences and how/where to speak to each.
    • Will have strong time management and prioritization skills.
    • Will be organized, able to multi-task, and complete projects efficiently.
    • Will be driven to jump in and get the job done (and done well).
