Assist the gardeners in the 10 acre botanical gardens (on-campus) with care of paths, planting beds, trees and shrubs.  Duties include mulching, raking, spreading gravel, weeding, planting, watering, mowing, and trimming.  Applicant must be willing and able to work outdoors in all weather (except pouring rain and freezing conditions) in appropriate work clothes. Applicants should be able to lift up to 40 pounds.

Drivers license is required.  Chosen candidate(s) must clear a Criminal Background Check with Motor Vehicle Report.  The University will cover the cost.  

Experience with mowers, trimmers and other landscape equipment is preferred but not required.  On-the-job training by gardeners and staff is provided.
