Position Title: Associate Director
Reports to: Executive Director
Classification: Exempt
Category: Permanent, Full-Time
Schedule: 40 hours/week
The Associate Director is responsible for assisting the Executive Director in the management of operations, staffing, finances, direction, and administration of HealthReach Community Clinic.
Job Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, management, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred
• Minimum 2-3 years of relevant work experience required
• Experience as a grant writer and grants manager
• Knowledge of financial systems, reporting, policy and procedure development, and strong financial background in administration and management
• Experience with marketing and development, fundraising, event planning and management, and community outreach
• Ability to act as an advocate for patients, personnel, the Clinic, etc.
• A commitment to charitable healthcare and serving individuals with limited means
Skills, Abilities, and Attributes:
• Thorough knowledge of administration, grant writing, marketing and development, and general understanding of the healthcare delivery system
• Proven track record in fund development and management
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Skills in interpersonal, community, and group relations, and strong experience in creating and participating in collaborative relationships
• Ability to exercise sound leadership and judgment, and remain calm when confronted with stressful situations
• Public relations knowledge and expertise and the ability to positively represent the Clinic
• Willingness to be flexible and accommodate change
• Skills in website maintenance and management preferred
• Prior experience working with low-income or otherwise vulnerable individuals and families; previous exposure to a free clinic preferred
Primary Responsibilities:
• Provide direct assistance to Executive Director in managing the Clinic in line with the established goals, aims, and objectives expressed by the Board of Directors
• Collaborate with the Executive Director in identifying and seeking funding sources, and assist in grant writing and fundraising activities
• Oversee Clinic donor management system and keep accurate and thorough records of incoming donations and grant funding
• Assist in the establishment, cultivation, and maintenance of relations with donors, foundations, and other resources
• Manage student intern outreach, selection, training, scheduling, and evaluation; help to ensure all volunteers are treated with respect and are recognized for their contributions
• Help maintain administrative reports and statistical information on all aspects of the Clinic
• Serve as an integral part of the HealthReach team to facilitate the provision of high-quality healthcare services for patients
• Respect full confidentiality of patient records; treat patients with respect and care
• Act as an ambassador and representative for HealthReach to the community
• Attend all team meetings and other meetings as deemed appropriate by Executive Director
• Perform other related duties as necessary and as directed by the Executive Director

Compensation & Benefits:
• If the applicant is approved by the Executive Director and Board of Directors, they will be offered employment and will receive compensation commensurate with experience.
• This position requires a commitment of two years with opportunities for advancement.
