You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. 
 

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Manages the execution and delivery of IT risk assessments including scoping assessments, creates detailed assessment procedures and related testing and reporting in accordance with professional and departmental standards
  • Serves as a key resource on complex and/or critical issues
  • Successfully identifies, addresses, manages and/or escalates risks and issues within a project to the segment lead
  • Translates highly complex concepts in ways that can be understood by a variety of audiences
  • Influences senior leadership to adopt new ideas, products and/or approaches to meet business needs and address IT security concerns
  • Leads special projects undertaken by the department and/or the Company
  • Assists with the development and execution of Information Risk Governance department operations, methodology, technologies and tools. Helps drive continuous improvement efforts in alignment with direction provided by leadership and industry standards

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology or 2+ years of equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of  IT internal audit or IT experience 
  • General understanding of security and risk concepts and principles and how to apply them
  • Proven solid interpersonal skills while working effectively with a team
  • Proven solid oral and written communication skills 
  • Proven desire to make a positive impact with the ability to manage multiple tasks and shift priorities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant IT certification(s) (e.g. CISSP, CISA, CISM, CIPT, CSFP, ISA, CIA, etc.)"
  • Experience in health insurance systems
  • Experience working in a complex IT environment
  • NIST, ISO, PCI, HIPPA, HITRUST, SSAE18, SOX 404 experience

California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Washington, Washington, D.C. Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $70,200 to $137,800 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
