Job Description
The student’s principal responsibility will be to survey academic academic space and collect space data of classrooms and teaching labs on the UNC Charlotte campus. The student will work directly with the Director of Academic & Research Space. The student will be responsible for confirming accuracy of existing teaching lab plans and for recording all lab casework, utilities, equipment, furniture, and AV technology. The classroom and class lab manuals are used by Academic Affairs and Facilities Management as a space resource.
The student will have to develop a schedule for the completion of the assigned tasks. The schedule will have to be updated as work is being completed to reflect completed and outstanding tasks.
The successful candidate must have the ability to field measure and record plan information. Basic two dimensional AutoCad drafting skills are required. The candidate must be self-motivated and able to work independently to complete assigned work.
