STW: Peer Guide

Belk College of Business Peer Guides support the Professional Development Team in serving the undergraduate business student population. Peer Guides assist with opt-in events, admission events, and connecting students to career resources.

The Niblock Student Center in the Belk College of Business is looking for Peer Guides who will:

• Promote programming including:
• Class visits or announcements
• Tabling in the Friday building
• Real time, in person promotion of events
• Support the Gold Standard Initiative by evaluating student submissions, through verifying if students meet the requirements for a High Impact Experience submission and inputting data to track these completions.
• Demonstrate commitment to leadership and professional development
• Generate creative ideas to increase student participation in opt-in opportunities
• Assist with events, including but possibly not limited to, Niblock Student Center events, external events in which the Belk College is involved, and Dean's events
• Participate in admissions and recruiting events for future and incoming BCOB students
• Meet one on one with students within the Mentor Collective Program on a regular basis
• Serve as a liaison for BCOB student body and generate ideas for programming 
• Organize small-scale engagement opportunities for undergraduate business students
• Other duties as assigned to support Women in Business (WIB) and Niblock Student Center professional development team initiatives
